Security/Valuables

We (Access-Himalaya) will arrange for your valuables, air ticket and passport to be kept in the safe of your hotel, together with all excess money, credit cards and travellers\' cheques, while you are away on trek. When on trek, your money, camera and binoculars should be kept with you at all times. Don\'t leave them unattended in camp or along the trail. Always keep your tent zips closed. Theft is not a major problem in Nepal, but unnecessary temptation should be avoided. We also ask that you bring along a small padlock to secure the zip fastening on the trekking hold-all we shall be giving you. This small security step protects both sides – the owners of the contents of the hold-all, and the porters who carry it, ensuring that the finger of suspicion is never raised.
