Nepal provides us with our livelihood, through a natural commodity - the Himalaya and all that the name evokes. If we benefit from visiting this beautiful country and interacting with her people, we believe we should put money back into the regions we visit. Our philosophy is always to buy local food supplies, as well as Nepalese made tents, sleeping bags,down jackets and Access-Himalaya kitbags, which we personally ensure are made to a high standard. We avail ourselves of services of Nepalese origin, at a fair price, which ensures that all of the money expended by our company stays in Nepal. In the same vein, we only use accommodation in Nepalese ownership, eschewing the five-star international hotels, and others, in foreign ownership, where most of the profits are sent abroad and do not benefit Nepal and her people.
